About Us

Challenging the period status quo since 2003.

Francine Chambers and her daughter, co-founder and CEO, Carinne Chambers-Saini, brought the DivaCup to the mass market together in 2003.


The ultimate team

Francine has spent her whole life searching for a better, more comfortable, and environmentally friendly alternative to tampons and pads; she found it in the modern menstrual cup and knew she was on to a winner. Carinne saw this opportunity and immediately launched herself into creating the DivaCup with her mother. Dedicating their lives to improving the menstrual care game, they created a user-friendly, environmentally responsible and reusable period product that could be easily accessible around the world.

Building the foundations

Diva International Inc.’s first office took over the basement of the Chambers’ home. We outgrew that and now Diva International has upgraded the office space. Oh, and we also expanded our sales to 22 countries around the world.

The Inner Revolution

Seeing the DivaCup so widely available, and hearing from our fans that it has changed their lives, helped spark an Inner Revolution in the entire Diva staff team. We became committed to challenging the period status quo and encouraging real change for everyone who menstruates.

Why “Diva”?

High standards. Not “high maintenance”.

Francine and Carinne wanted a name that reflected the fearlessness and confidence they felt about bringing the world a better way to period. A Diva is anyone who recognizes that our society’s views on periods are not black and white, and anyone who understands periods don’t just belong to cis women. A Diva is anyone that believes traditional, disposable menstrual care products are just not good enough.

We’re proud to be a certified B Corporation

In 2018, we celebrated becoming a certified B Corp. We always wanted to be transparent when it came to our product and our company. Our B Corp certification gives us that platform and holds us accountable in using business as a force for good for customers, the community and the planet.
