A properly maintained Disc will last longer.
Before first time use
Sanitize your Disc
Before using, set a timer and sanitize the disc in boiling water for 5-10 minutes.
Tip: Place the disc inside a metal whisk before in the boiling water! This will prevent melting if your water boils down.
Routine Care & Cleaning
Wash your hands, wash your disc
In between uses, cleanse your disc with a pH-balanced cleanser like DivaWash.
DivaWash was specially formulated to protect your vagina’s natural pH, as well as the disc’s integrity.
Store it
Once your period has ended, store the clean disc in the organic cotton pouch you received with it.
Silicone is nonporous and bacteria resistant, but only if stored properly.
Never store your disc in a ShakerCup or other air-tight container.

No bleach
No anti-bacterial soaps
Nobody wants an irritated vagina
It’s not cute. So here are some things to avoid:
vinegar
scented/fragranced soap
oil-based soap
rubbing alcohol
anti-bacterial soap
baking soda
hydrogen peroxide
bleach
dishwashing soap
